  1. Hello, dear Forth user!

  3. This directory contains online help files to use with any ANS-Forth
  4. system and with pfe.
  5.  
  6. For a general statement of purpose see the file `PLEASE.HELP'.
  7.  
  8. Along with the help files come two simple utility programs:
  9.  
  10.     helpidx        creates an index from all help files
  11.     showhelp    displays help for a word
  12.  
  13. I moved them to the directory ../src because it's easier to build them
  14. along with pfe there.
  15. (For DOS and OS/2 executables are in ../emx.)
  16.  
  17. For installation instructions to use the stuff with pfe see
  18. `../src/makefile'.  After running config and checking the PFEHLP
  19. directory in ../src/makefile you can say `make install'.
  20.  
  21. (For DOS and OS/2 the helpindex is provided in ../emx. Copy it along
  22. with the files *.hlp to C:\PFE\LIB\HELP to run instantly with the
  23. provided executable. To change the path you'll have to recompile pfe
  24. and rebuild the index.)
