  6. This is the Freeware version of 'Web Leech' for Windows. 
  7. You may distribute the Freeware version of 'Web Leech' to 
  8. friends, associates, or to a computer bulletin board (BBS), but

  21. Purpose
  22. -------
  23. The purpose of this application was to enable the user to download
  24. files which are attached to web pages, but WITHOUT having to click 
  25. on each link/file individually to save them. Instead a list of available
  26. files is created, and all/selected files can be downloaded.

  28. IT IS NOT a program to store web sites on your local drive, use something like
  29. Web Whacker for that. This is just an easy way to download multiple files from 
  30. a HTML page on a web server.

  34. Platform Requirements
  35. ---------------------
  36. The application has been written under, and for Windows 95. I cannot see any
  37. reason why it would not work under NT4, but since we're not running NT4 here
  38. I can't really test it.

  40. You will either need an internet dial-up account running TCP/IP or be connected
  41. through your LAN, again using TCP/IP

  143. FIX : Fixed the "String too long" error which some of you were encountering. This was not
  144.       causing any data loss and all files wich were d/loading were still fine.
  145. FIX : Filenames containing & were sometimes stored in HTML format as & and therefore the
  146.       filename I was trying to copy was file&name.zip. This has now been fixed.

  157. CHNG: Greatly improved speed in directory parsing routine, about 50% faster than previous
  158.       versions
  159. CHNG: Re-Compiled entire project and using VB5 Service Pack 3 (sorry, no patch from versions
  160.       previous to 1.7 because of new runtime DLL's required.. thank MS for that one!).
