  3. For Unix user.  To install the courseware database, perform the following:

  5. (1) Copy the file courseware.tar.gz to your user directory with the cp command, or in a graphical window.
  6.  
  7. (2) Un-gzip the file with the command: gunzip Courseware.tar.gz
  8.  
  9. (3) The preceeding command will create a tar file called courseware.tar Untar the file with 
  10. tar -xfv Courseware.tar
  11.  
  12. (4) The directory structure Courseware will be created. 
  13. Link it into your Softimage user setup with the Database Manager, Get]DBManager. 
  14.
