- System use is displayed in a continuously updated graph in the window. As
- system use varies, the graph line adjusts accordingly.

- The window is displayed with 0% use at the bottom of the window and 100% at the
- top.

- Within the Pulse window, several function keys are supported for those who do
- not wish to use the mouse.

- Alt+S Makes the graph appear to flow evenly.

- Alt+C Forces the graph line back to the center of the screen when it
- reaches the right edge.

- Alt+F Stops the graph line.

- Alt+I Fills the space between the graph line and the bottom of the window
- with color.

- Alt+B Cycles through background colors.

- Pulse supports various startup options for users who want to customize this
- program. The options can be started from the command prompt by typing PULSE
- [option]. Some of the options include:

- NOICON
- Do not display an icon when the program is minimized. Instead,
- display a miniature graph of pulse in its place.
- NOMENU
- Do not include a menu bar.
- SMOOTH
- Display the graph with a smoothed line.
- FILL
- Display a filled graph.
