  4.     Figure.2 - This is a 3-part figure. Cells r5c5 (the S cell) and r8c8 (the
  5.     T cell, but obscured by an arrow in 2c) should be distinguished from
  6.     the other cells by color or grey (as opposed to black). The position
  7.     of r8c8 in the Open list in 2c (fourth from the end) should also be
  8.     distinguished from the other list elements (boldface, underlined,
  9.     italic, or larger font).

  11.     Figure.4 - This is a 3-part figure. Cells r3c3 (the S cell) and r6c6 (the
  12.     T cell, but obscured by an arrow in 4c) should be distinguished from
  13.     the other cells by color or grey (as opposed to black). The position
  14.     of r6c6 in the Open list in 4c (at the front) should also be
  15.     distinguished from the other list elements (boldface, underlined,
  16.     italic, or larger font).

  18.     Figure.5 - The circles in groups B and C should be deemphasized in some
  19.     way, such as very light grey, dashed, or dotted. The focus of groups
  20.     B and C is the straight traces, but the circles are needed to show
  21.     what the traces are used for.

  23.     Figure.7 - There should be black dots at the intersections of the lines
  24.     with the circle. The labels A,B,C,D, and E should be as close to the
  25.     dots as possible. The color of the line connecting at A should be
  26.     different from those at B,C,D, and E. Ideally, the A line should be in
  27.     red, and the B,C,D, and E lines should be in blue, but black/grey will
  28.     suffice, if necessary. The circle should be black.

  30.     Figure 8 - The text file EX1.PCB.

  32.     Figure 9 - The figure that results from autorouting EX1.PCB, and printing
  33.     the output on a laser printer. The top traces must be distinguished
  34.     from the bottom traces in some way. Ideally, the holes would be black,
  35.     the top traces would be red, and the bottom traces would be blue. If
  36.     this is not possible, I think it would be sufficient to have the holes
  37.     and top traces in black, and the bottom traces in grey. I used a high
  38.     resolution for detail, but you'll want to reduce them in size so the
  39.     'jaggies' on the diagonal lines won't be so bad. The caption is "The
  40.     circuit from figure 8 after autorouting has been done."
