  1. HOW TO OPERATE PROGRAM 'FILTER'

  3. The user should be logged-in in the same directory as the program code,
  4. file FILTER.EXE, the help files *.HLP and the graphics program files
  5. FV.EXE, FVINS.EXE on the hard disk. For instance if these files are all
  6. in directory C:\FIL\ then the user should log into this directory with
  7. a command such as CD C:\fil
  8.  
  9. A directory should be set up BEFORE starting up program FILTER, which will
  10. collect the output files from FILTER.

  12. The user may set up a directory at a level below the logged in directory. For
  13. instance using the example above if the logged in directory is C:\FIL then
  14. a directory below this can be set up with the command MD dir1, with the
  15. result that a new directory C:\FIL\DIR1 will be created. Then the first
  16. question of the program should be answered: dir1

  18. If the user wants to use a floppy in drive A: then a directory can be set up
  19. there with the command MD a:dir1 . Then the first question of the program
  20. should be answered: a:dir1
