  5.       WHAT IS EDRAW--------------------------------------------------
  6.       
  7.       EDRAW  -  Easydraw  - is an IBM PC based general purpose drawing 
  8.       program  designed  for technical people like engineers, teachers 
  9.       and   students.   Besides  drawing  lines,  boxes,  circles  and 
  10.       symbols,  the  USER-SUPPORTED  program includes logic/electronic 
  11.       symbols  enabling  a  user  to  draw  electronic  circuits.  The 
  12.       program   is  ideal  for  drawing  schematics,  block  diagrams, 
  13.       flowcharts and features automatic panning.
  14.       
  15.       EDRAW  requires  384k  of  memory, a CGA or EGA graphic adapter, 
  16.       supports most mice, and prints on Epson or compatible printers.
  17.       
  18.       EDRAW  requires  users  to install - explained below - the EDRAW 
  19.       distribution  disk  onto a floppy or a hard drive using a simple 
  20.       INSTALL procedure.  The installed version - EDRAW working disk -
  21.       MAY NOT be distributed.

  23.       The steps to become a successful EDRAW user are:
  24.       
  25.             ____ Print the README file.
  26.       
  27.             ____ Install EDRAW on a floppy.
  28.       
  29.             ____ Run automated demonstrations EDEMO1 and EDEMO3.
  30.       
  31.             ____ Print the manual.
  32.       
  33.             ____ Step thru MANUAL TUTORIAL in the manual.
  34.       
  35.             ____ Draw and print your first drawing.
  36.       
  37.             ____ Order/register for the complete EDRAW package.

  40.       AUTOMATED DEMONSTRATION-------------------------------------
  41.       
  42.       After   installing  EDRAW,  a  user  can  execute  an  automated 
  43.       demonstration  of  EDRAW.   The demonstrations are named Edemo1, 
  44.       Edemo2....  To  start  a demonstration reboot computer to remove 
  45.       all stay-resident drivers then 
  46.       
  47.       floppy user:        insert installed disk into drive A
  48.       floppy user:        A:<ret>
  49.       
  50.       hard disk user:     C:<ret>      your hard disk drive
  51.       hard disk user:     CD\EDRAW<ret>

  55.       Press any key to advance past the copyright notice.
  56.       
  57.       From  the  UTILITY  menu, press CTRL O (the letter). Most of the 
  58.       demonstration  programs  will  pause - advance to the next frame 
  59.       with  the  space  bar.  To stop a demo depress CTRL, ALT, DELETE 
  60.       and remove the disk.

  64.       The  DOS  command  COPY MANUAL.DOC PRN<ret> will print the EDRAW 
  65.       users  manual.  A section in the manual - MANUAL TUTORIAL - will 
  66.       take you step by step into EDRAW.

  69.       FLOPPY USER INSTALLATION--------------------------------------
  70.       
  71.             Make  a  working  EDRAW  disk by first formatting a floppy 
  72.             with  the  /S  option.  The /S option will place a copy of 
  73.             DOS on the disk. 
  74.             
  75.             Insert  the  EDRAW  distribution disk into drive A and the  
  76.             formatted disk into drive B and enter:
  77.             
  78.             A: <ret>
  79.             FLINSTAL <ret>

  82.       HARD DISK USER INSTALLATION-----------------------------------
  83.       
  84.             The  following  steps  will  create an EDRAW sub-directory 
  85.             and several symbol sub-directories on a hard drive.
  86.             
  87.             Insert  the  EDRAW disk  into drive A and type [HDINSTAL x 
  88.             ret].  The x indicates the fixed drive name.  (Do not type 
  89.             a colon after the drive name.)

  91.             To run the program enter:
  92.             CD\EDRAW ret

  131.                           printed   by  using  the  DOS  command  COPY 
  132.                           MANUAL.DOC PRN <ret>.

  134.       XXXX.DOG            These  symbol  files  will  be  placed  in a 
  135.                           directory  called GATES and renamed XXXX.SYM 
  136.                           by the INSTALL procedure.
  137.       
  138.       FONTXXX             With  these  files,  the  INSTALL  procedure 
  139.                           will create directories for fonts 1 and 5.

  142.       Notes:
  143.       The EDRAW distribution disk must be installed.
  144.       Fonts  2  thru  3  and  fonts  above 5 are not on this SHAREWARE 
  145.       product.
