- Note! Some sysops may not wish to incorporate all these functions, If so
- delete them from your menu.
- Requests are sent as the Subject of standard BBS (P) message addressed to
- BBSERV@BBScall and the available commands are:
- *** Substitute dbname with the database name wanted ! ***
- (Subject line command) (Operation from server)
- (*) See IMPORTANT note below_______________________________________________
- (D) GET dbname Filename.ext Returns the requested file as a message
- (D) GET dbname INDEX Returns an index list of the Directory
- (D) GET SRV INDEX Returns the index of text about server
- REQFIL may be used in place of GET in any of the above
- (W) LIST Returns databases available & some help
- (W) LIST dbname (wildcard) Will list requested files in the directory
- (W) LIST dbname If file is over 3k will send index if available
- REQDIR may be used in place of LIST in any of the above
- (I) INFO Returns this text file edited by sysop
- (U) PUT dbname Filename.ext Places your file in this dbname\upl section
- (U) PUT dbname Places your message as a file in the dbname
- specified (Must be Public) as Yourcall.txt
- (Replaces previous file if existing)
- (K) KILL dbname Filename.ext \Sysop & "OWNER" only may use this command and
- (K) ERASE dbname Filename.ext/also may path to the \UPL\ directories for this
- (N) REGISTER dbname \ Register for new updates to be sent periodicaly
- (N) INFORM dbname / by the "OWNER" of this directory
- (N) SUBSCRIBE dbname This is a shadow command which will be changed
- UNREGISTER Removes you from the distribution list
- UNINFORM Removes you from the distribution list
- ADDRESS Callsign Returns the hierachial address of Callsign
- (DU) Returns up to the first 500 users on file
- (DU) Callsign Returns the registration data on Callsign

- (*) AA4RE BBS file commands may be substituted for the long commands, replace
- the first word with the proper letter as for PUT use U or GET use D

- "OWNER" commands include the abitilty to path in & out of their own
- databases & subdirectories. Each database directory that has an owner
- or is "Public" must have a \UPL\ subdirectory on the disk. This is not to
- be put in parms.bb Users will be able to upload to these \UPL\ directories
- but not dnld. If these are standard AA4RE directories at the end of parms.bb
- then you must have subdirectory_ok = NO for each of the ones used.

- "OWNERS" may kill, replace (edit) or request files from his entire directory
- and \UPL\ subdirectory but only his. "OWNER" is designated in the comment
- line directory setup in parms.bb.
- These owner commands will be expanded on with the shadow developement. You
- may edit shadow.trl to suit your needs. This is sent as a trailer after the
- owner has serviced his database.

- Diagnostic commands are also in place in some versions.
- Other "SHADOW" commands & server update functions are under developement some
- new ones will be added and some existing ones deleted as these progress.
