  3. 1.BBSERV.EXE is a remote file server for use with the AA4RE BBS programs
  4.   from Version 2.1! (c) 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 by  H. Roy Engenhausen.
  5. 2.It may be used with version 2.10 if the GL command is issued as soon as
  6.    BBSERV has been run.
  7. 3.BBSERV.EXE is a DOS program run in wakeup.bb at whatever times you wish
  8.    using the following command EL BBSERV.EXE and in V2.10 with the next
  9.    command line GL
  10. 4.BBSERVE.EXE may be run manually for testing or occasional use by the
  11.    sysop.  EL BBSERV.EXE will run it from AA4RE's command line
  12. 5.Run SETSERVE.EXE first for all the documentation needed.
  13. 6.All the files supplied may be in the directory used by BB.EXE or if
  14.   you desire any place you want use the ;bbserv_dir = path in parms.bb 
  15.   If you path BBSERV.EXE you must path it when calling it up from REBBS
  16.   with the command EL (path) BBSERV.EXE
  17. 7.BBSERV will make the files it needs to operate. You should edit required
  18.   reply and trailer files to suit your needs.
  19. 8.Basic setup is to decide what directories you want to use, the alternate
  20.   name the server will respond to and enter these as comment lines exactly
  21.   as described in the parms.bb help docs.
  22. 9.Run it manually a few times , you can enter (P) messages to BBSERV or the
  23.   alias, run it and see if it works. It should find the messages, reply with
  24.   the files or text requested & reroute the messages from your station to the
  25.   sender.
  26. 10. The first time it runs it will check all your files for messages to the
  27. server. After this it only checks to the last one it did. To reset it so that
  28. it will start from 0 again call it up as BBSERV.EXE /R  It will then do a 
  29. complete search and reset iself to the last file read.
  30. 11. Send comments, suggestions, complaints to:
  31.     BBSERV@W1NPR  
  32.     Subject? INPUT
  33.     Msg? Regular message text.
