- Q-LOG PCBoard Logfile Adjuster v1.0 (c) 1994 Frank Q./Q-TiP PCBoard-Development
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
- Table of contents:
-
- (1) - INTRO
- (2) - HOW TO SET UP Q-LOG
-
- ─ (1) INTRODUCTION ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- If you do not want to delete your PCBoard logfile(s) when
- it got to big you should use this tool.
-
- Q-LOG keeps only full callers, so it does not just count
- the lines and rewrite just x of them - after you run
- Q-LOG the new logfile will start with a caller and end
- with a caller.
-
- It also keeps a backup of the old logfile.
-
- ─ (2) HOW TO SET UP Q-LOG ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- The best is you run Q-LOG in your $$LOGOFF.BAT.
-
- The usage is simple:
- Q-LOG <logfile> <from lines> <to lines>
-
- Example:
- Q-LOG E:\PCB\SYS\CALLER1 10000 6000
-
- This would cut down CALLER1 to 6000 lines when it
- reached 10000+ lines.
-
- If you run a multinode bbs you should put
- Q-LOG path_to_logfiles\CALLER%PCBNODE% 10000 6000
- in your LOGOFF.BAT.
-
- There are four addional but optional parameters:
-
- /M - Do not use colors. If you have only monochrome you
- may not see Q-LOGs messages. /M uses the current
- color for all outputs.
-
- /O - Do not make a backup.
- After running Q-LOG the first time you find a
- .BAK-file of your callerslog. /O will disable
- this.
-
- /S - Do not write any messages.
- This disables all output to the screen.
-
- /P - Do not write free lines.
- At the beginning and at the ending Q-LOG writes a
- free line on the screen. This disables it hehe
-
- That's it, just a small program, so just small docs.
