- The SELECT external command lets a language outside the USA be typed on the
- keyboard of a computer. This command is usually used to make distribution
- diskettes for use outside the USA. This command also FORMATs the disk.

- A: or B: specifies the disk drive the country information file and keyboard
- information file are to be taken from. See the KEYB and CONFIG.SYS
- COUNTRY topics for information about these files.

- d:[pathname] specifies the disk drive and optional pathname to install them on.

- yyy specifies the country code to be used. See the NEW_TERMS CODE_PAGE topic
- for a list of possible values.

- xx specifies the keyboard layout which will be used. These are also listed
- in the NEW_TERMS CODE_PAGE topic.

- SELECT won't work for disks on another computer in a network. SELECT for
- DOS 4.0 is greatly enhanced, with screens full of choices to make. SELECT
- is not present in OS/2, it is done another way.
