- DISKCOPY
-
- DISKCOPY is an external command that is used to copy everything on one
- diskette to another diskette. A virtual disk defined to have exactly the
- same number of sectors as a diskette can also be DISKCOPYed.
-
- DISKCOPY [d1:] [d2:][/V] [/1]
- \___/ \___/
- \source/ \destination
-
- If d1: and d2: are not specified, all DISKCOPYing will be from and to the
- current default drive (a single drive DISKCOPY). If d1: and d2: are the same
- drive name, a single drive DISKCOPY is done, and you will be prompted to
- insert/remove diskettes as necessary.
-
- /V causes DISKCOPY to verify that all data is correctly copied onto
- the destination.
-
- /1 tells DISKCOPY to copy only a single side (the first) of the two
- diskettes.
-
- The destination diskette will be formatted if required, destroying any
- existing data. DISKCOPY won't work with disks on another computer in a
- network. DISKCOPY should not be used with ASSIGNed, JOINed, or SUBSTed
- disk names.
