- SUBDIRECTORY
-
-
- A directory whose name is in another directory is called a subdirectory.
- Every subdirectory has two special directories in it,
- .
- and
- ..
-
- . is used to refer to the subdirectory itself, and .. is used to refer to
- its parent directory. The root directory (\) on a disk does not have these
- special directories in it. For additional information, leave the NEW_TERMS
- topic (by pressing the Return, Enter, or the <──┘ key at the "NEW_TERMS
- Topic?" prompt) and request the DIR EXAMPLES SUBDIRECTORIES topic.
