  3. The "[" and "]" are not used by DOS, but are used in the descriptions the 
  4. 'help' command provides. When an option is shown enclosed in square brackets 
  5. in a description, that option is not required and should only be entered if 
  6. you want to use it. For more information about the format of DOS commands as
  7. described in the various 'help' topics, leave the NEW_TERMS topic (by pressing 
  8. the Return, Enter, or <──┘ key at the "NEW_TERMS Topic?" prompt) and then 
  9. request the HELP DOS_COMMAND_FORMAT topic.
