- BREAK determines how often DOS checks for Ctrl-Break
- BUFFERS determines number of disk buffers DOS allocates
- COUNTRY establishes date format and country code to be used
- DEVICE installs a disk or other device driver program
- DRIVPARM* modifies DOS disk configuration table
- FCBS determines how many simultaneous FCBS DOS will allow
- FILES determines how many files can be open simultaneously
- INSTALL** installs a Terminate-and-Stay-Resident program
- LASTDRIVE determines how many disk drives are allowed
- REM** remark or comment line (can be used with any level of
