- ASSIGNMENT OF KEYS
-
- Many of the keys on the keyboard can be (re)assigned, so that pressing one key
- will have the effect of pressing several other keys by using key assignment
- escape sequences. Function keys, and most other keys, such as the letter and
- cursor keys, can be assigned in this way.
-
- In order to be able to reassign keys, you must have the line DEVICE=ANSI.SYS
- in the CONFIG.SYS file. When you boot your computer with ANSI.SYS installed,
- key reassignment escape sequences will be processed by the ANSI.SYS program.
-
- Press the Enter, Return, or <──┘ key until you to return to the "Topic?"
- prompt, and request the "SUMMARY KEYBOARD ASSIGNMENT_OF_KEYS" topic for more
- information. Any assignments you do will probably be ignored by most
- separately purchased programs.
