- I have found lharc to be more efficient in size of the archives
- it produces than any other archiver. Files produced with lharc
- are on average about 10% to 20% smaller than those produced with
- pkzip and about 25% smaller than those produced with pkpak.
-
- I have written an ArcView program for WildCat BBS called AVIEWCOM
- and needed to include a view() function for .lzh files. The included
- lview.* files are the result of examining the headers of a few
- example files.
-
- lview does not handle full pathnames nor does it display file
- attributes. It will take a filename as a command line parameter
- (with wildcards) with or without the .lzh extension and display
- the contents of the archives specified.
-
- lview is provided freely to all and may be freely distributed.
- The purpose here is to disseminate information about lharc.
