  5.   Please read the entire file called LANMAP.DOC.  This file contains a
  6.   detailed installation procedure and the complete User's Manual for LanMap.

  8.   It is suggested that you print the LANMAP.DOC file.

  10.   We assume throughout that the user is a Network System Administrator and
  11.   is therefore well versed in PC/DOS and Netware.  The User's Manual is
  12.   quite specific in its directions about the use of LanMap, but does not
  13.   get into unnecessary detail about how to map Netware drives or how to use
  14.   DOS commands.  If you have trouble with any of these procedures, please
  15.   refer to your Netware and DOS manuals respectively.  If you have, after
  16.   reading the LANMAP.DOC file, unanswered questions about the operation
  17.   of LanMap, please feel free to call your distributor or:

  25.   This demonstration disk of LanMap is limited in several ways.  First, it
  26.   only allows for 3 workstations instead of 255.  Second, it only sees
  27.   two file servers instead of 8.  Third, it only allows maps to be 24 lines
  28.   (one screen) instead of 250 lines.  In all other aspects the Demo version
  29.   of LanMap functions just like the full version.

  33.                       How to Install LANMAP
  34.  
  35.    LANMAP can be installed on any hard disk, floppy disk, or
  36. network drive by using the normal DOS COPY command, or the
  37. Netware equivalent NCOPY command.  The following set of
  38. instructions will install LANMAP under the PUBLIC subdirectory.
  39. Here we are assuming that SYS:PUBLIC is mapped to the Z: drive,
  40. as this is the default mapping for Netware.  If this is not the
  41. case, or you do not wish to install LANMAP in the PUBLIC
  42. directory, then simply substitute the appropriate drive letter
  43. for your case.

  45. 1)  Make SYS:PUBLIC the default drive.  Type Z:
  46.  
  47. 2)  Copy the LANMAP files into PUBLIC.  Type NCOPY A:*.* Z:*.*
  48.  
  49. 3)  Make LANMAP a read-only file.  Type FLAG Z:LANMAPD.COM SRO
  50.  
  51. 4)  Make NETLIST a read-only file.  Type FLAG Z:NETLIST.COM SRO
  52.  
  53.   The LANMAP files are now installed in the PUBLIC directory.
