  6. This file describes normal display driver installation procedures for
  7. Windows 95.  Use these procedures when installing the ARK Logic 1000xx
  8. and ARK Logic 2000xx drivers provided in this directory.  We also provide
  9. ARK Tools program which is designed to allow you to select or change
  10. desktop display settings such as disptop size, viewport size, color depth,
  11. font size, refresh rate and screen position.  Furthermore, ARK Tools let
  12. you change language on the fly by clicking mouse right button on the ARK
  13. Tools' title bar.
  14.  
  15. Note: This driver automatically configures the display adapter's refresh
  16.       rate according to the capabilities of the monitor to which it is
  17.       attached.
  18.  
  19. HOW to install Display Driver:
  20. ------------------------------
  21. 1.  Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.
  22. 2.  Start the "Display" applet program.
  23. 3.  Select the "Settings" page, push the "Change Display Type" button.
  24. 4.  Push the "Change" button in the "Adapter Type" area.
  25. 5.  Push the "Have Disk" button and press "OK".
  26. 6.  Specify the path to the new driver and press the <ENTER> key:
  27.     Example 1: Insert the drivers disk in the A: floppy drive,
  28.            and enter A:\.
  29.     Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied
  30.            the drivers, either on your local hard drive or
  31.            on a network share.
  32.     Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the drivers are,
  33.            choose the "Browse..." button are find them.
  34. 7.  The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Select the adapter that
  35.     corresponds to the one you installed in your machine and click OK.
  36. 8.  Windows 95 will copy the display drivers to the proper directories
  37.     on your system.
  38. 9.  Continue choosing Close until asked to restart your machine from the
  39.     "Systems Settings Change" dialog box.
  40. 10. After the system has restarted, you can go back into the Display
  41.     applet and select alternate screen resolutions and color depths.

  43. NOTE:  You can also install Display Driver when you install ARK Tools program.
  44.  
  45. **NOTE:  When you install ARK Tools program, it is better for you to update
  46.      Display Drivers at the same time to result the better performance.
  47.  
  48. **NOTE:  If you had old version of ARK Tools, please uninstall it before
  49.      reinstall ARK Tools.

  51. HOW to install ARK Tools:
  52. -------------------------
  53. 1.  Click Start\Run
  54. 2.  Enter a:\setup or b:\setup.
  55. 3.  Click OK button to start setup program.
  56.     or
  57. 1.  Click Start, Settings, and then Control Panel.
  58. 2.  Start the "Add/Remove Programs" applet program.
  59. 3.  Click Install button.
  60. 4.  Insert Setup Disk in the appropriate floppy drive.
  61. 5.  Click Next button to search installation program.
  62. 6.  Click Finish button to start setup program.

  64. HOW to UNinstall ARK Tools:
  65. ---------------------------
  66. 1.  Click Start, Settings, and then Control Panel.
  67. 2.  Start the "Add/Remove Programs" applet program.
  68. 3.  Select ARK Tools from the list.
  69. 4.  Click "Add/Remove" button.
  70. 5.  Select "Yes" button.
  71. 6.  After finishing uninstall program, close Control Panel Group.
  72. *7. Delete "ARKTools.CPL" file under your Windows System Directory.
  73. *8. Delete "ARKTools.INI" file under your Windows Directory.
