  8. █  Move object
  9.  
  10.     There are several ways to move an
  11. object.
  12.  
  13.   If you have a mouse, do the following:
  14.  
  15.   · Select the Pick Tool and select the
  16.     object to be moved (see Select object).
  17.  
  18.   · Press the mouse button and drag the
  19.     object to a new location, then release
  20.     the mouse button.
  21.  
  22.   If you use an emulated mouse, the steps
  23.   are:
  24.  
  25.   · Select the object to be moved.
  26.  
  27.   · Move the cursor with the arrow keys
  28.     to a new location.
  29.  
  30.   · Press <Ins> key to complete the action.

  32.   If you prefer using a menu command, you
  33.   can do the following:
  34.  
  35.   · Select the object to be moved.
  36.  
  37.   · Choose the View | Move command.  The
  38.     Move Object dialog box will be
  39.     displayed. Type in the new location of
  40.     the object in the edit input-line box.
  41.  
  42.   · Click the OK button or press <Alt+O>
  43.     or <Enter>.

  45.     The last method is very useful if you
  46. want to move an object to a specific
  47. position.  For data curves and surfaces,
  48. the object can be moved only along with
  49. the axes (or frame).  For 3D object, there
  50. is another 3D Move option.  See TechPlot
  51. user's handbook: Section 9.3.9 for a
  52. detailed descriptions.

  55. █  Resize object
  56.  
  57.     The procedure to resize an object is
  58. similar to the ones for moving an object.
  59.  
  60. If you have a mouse, do the following:
  61.  
  62.   · Select the Pick Tool and select the
  63.     object to be resized (see Select
  64.     object).
  65.  
  66.   · Move the mouse cursor to one of the
  67.     small boxes surrounding the selected
  68.     object.
  69.  
  70.   · Press the mouse button and drag the
  71.     object to a new location, then release
  72.     the mouse button.

  77.   · Select the object to be resized.

  79.   · Choose the View | Resize command.  The
  80.     Resize Object dialog box will be
  81.     displayed.  Type in the new dimensions
  82.     of the object in the edit inputline.

  84.   · Click the OK button or press <Alt+O>
  85.     or <Enter>.

  87.     Again, for data curves and surfaces,
  88. the object can only be resized by resizing
  89. the axes (or frame).  For 3D object, there
  90. is another 3D Resize option.  See TechPlot

  95. █  Rotate object
  96.  
  97.     The rotation of a plot object depends
  98. on the type of object.
  99.  
  100.     For all 2D objects, there are two ways
  101. to rotate.
  102.  
  103.   1.Select the object you want to rotate
  104.     and choose the View | Rotate command.
  105.     A message will be displayed on the
  106.     status line to instruct you about the
  107.     rotating operation.  Use arrow keys
  108.     to rotate the plot object.  When you
  109.     finish rotating, press <Enter>.

  111.   2.Select the object you want to rotate
  112.     and choose the Format | Object Format
  113.     command.  Type in a proper angle in
  114.     the Angle filed of it format dialog
  115.     box.

  117.     For 3D object, select it and choose
  118. the View | Rotate command.  The Plot View
  119. is changed to the 3D rotation mode.  In
  120. this mode, the toolbox and color palette
  121. area is changed to 3D rotation tools. You
  122. can either use the mouse to click on the
  123. arrow buttons to set the angle of x, y, or
  124. z axis, or type in an angle value in the
  125. input-line box and choose the Apply button
  126. to see the rotating position.  Choose the
  127. Done command button when you finish the
  128. rotating operation.
