- █ Plot View basics
-
- Plot View is divided into four major
- portions: plot editor tool box, color
- palette, page margin guide line, and
- client area.
-
-
- █ Toolbox
-
- The toolbox is on the top-left corner
- of a Plot View window. There are 23 tools
- available in TechPlot's plot editing
- toolbox. To select a tool, either use a
- mouse to click on the button or use
- <Space Bar> key.
-
-
- █ Color palette
-
- The color palette is located in the
- lower left corner of a Plot View window.
- There are 16 different colors in the color
- palette. You can select an object and
- choose one of the colors from the color
- palette. The change of color to the object
- will be seen immediately on the screen.
- These colors are available only for EGA,
- EGA64, or VGA.
-
-
- █ Page margin guidelines
-
- The page margin guidelines are the
- dotted lines on the client area of the Plot
- View window. The graphs inside the
- guidelines are the same size and position
- as they will show on the hardcopy up to a
- scale ratio. The page margin guidelines
- are drawn based on the current page view.
- Basically, there are three page views
- available in TechPlot: half-page (8"x5"),
- portrait (8"x10"), and landscape (10"x8").
-
-
- █ Client area
-
- The client area is the working area
- where the graph is displayed and edited.
- It is the area enclosed by the page
- margin guide lines.
