  9.     Plot View is divided into four major
  10. portions: plot editor tool box, color
  11. palette, page margin guide line, and
  12. client area.

  15. █  Toolbox
  16.  
  17.     The toolbox is on the top-left corner
  18. of a Plot View window.  There are 23 tools
  19. available in TechPlot's plot editing
  20. toolbox.  To select a tool, either use a
  21. mouse to click on the button or use
  22. <Space Bar> key.

  25. █  Color palette
  26.  
  27.     The color palette is located in the
  28. lower left corner of a Plot View window.
  29. There are 16 different colors in the color
  30. palette.  You can select an object and
  31. choose one of the colors from the color
  32. palette.  The change of color to the object
  33. will be seen immediately on the screen.
  34. These colors are available only for EGA,
  35. EGA64, or VGA.

  38. █  Page margin guidelines
  39.  
  40.     The page margin guidelines are the
  41. dotted lines on the client area of the Plot
  42. View window.  The graphs inside the
  43. guidelines are the same size and position
  44. as they will show on the hardcopy up to a
  45. scale ratio.  The page margin guidelines
  46. are drawn based on the current page view.
  47. Basically, there are three page views
  48. available in TechPlot: half-page (8"x5"),
  49. portrait (8"x10"), and landscape (10"x8").

  52. █  Client area
  53.  
  54.     The client area is the working area
  55. where the graph is displayed and edited.
  56. It is the area enclosed by the page
  57. margin guide lines.
