- ** Plot View's View Menu commands
-
-
- █ View menu
-
- The View menu contains commands that
- let you view and change various plot
- viewing points of plot object in Plot View.
-
-
- █ Zoom
-
- The View | Zoom command lets you expand
- a rectangular area of a Plot View window.
- This command is especially useful when you
- have a plot that contains data curves tight
- together such that you can't select them in
- the normal view. Use this command to blow
- up a local area and edit it.
-
-
- █ UnZoom
-
- The View | UnZoom command lets you put
- the zoomed plot view to its original size.
-
-
- █ Axes Zoom
-
- The View | Axes Zoom command lets you
- change the axes range on-screen. You must
- select a graph first before you can select
- this command. This command will only
- change the axes ranges to the rectangle
- region you select. This command differs
- from the Zoom command in that it only
- resizes the axes range, not any other plot
- objects in the selected area.
-
-
- █ Axes UnZoom
-
- The View | Axes UnZoom command lets you
- put the axes range of an axes-zoomed graph
- back to its original state.
-
-
- █ Push Back
-
- The View | Push Back command lets you
- put the selected plot object to the
- beginning of the drawing list. The order
- of Plot View window drawing is the most
- recent active one last. Once an object is
- selected, it becomes the active object, so
- it is at the end of the drawing list. When
- TechPlot checks for a selection, it checks
- through the drawing list in a reverse
- order. This command is very useful when
- you are in the situation that you have
- several objects geometrically contained in
- a large object. If the large object is
- active, then you cannot select those small
- ones inside this large object. So you must
- push the large object back, then you will
- be able to select the small objects.
-
-
- █ Move
-
- The View | Move command lets you move
- a plot object on screen. This command
- displays the Move 2D Object dialog box.
- In this dialog box, you can specify the new
- location of an object. The numbers are the
- screen position of the object. The
- top-left corner of the plot view window
- guidelines is (0,0).
-
-
- █ Resize
-
- The View | Resize command lets you
- resize a plot object. This command
- displays the Resize 2D Object dialog box.
- In this dialog box, you can specify the
- new location of an object. The numbers
- are the screen position of the object.
-
-
- █ Rotate
-
- The View | Rotate command allows you
- to rotate a 2D or 3D plot object.
-
- If the selected object is a 2D plot
- object, a message will be displayed on
- the status line to instruct you during
- the rotating operation. Use the arrow
- keys to rotate the plot object. When you
- finish rotating, press <Enter>.
-
- If the selected object is a 3D plot
- object, the plot view is changed to the
- 3D rotation mode. In this mode, the
- toolbox and color palette area are changed
- to the 3D rotation tool. You can either
- use the mouse to click on the arrow buttons
- to set the angles of x, y, or z axis, or
- type in angle values in the respecting
- inputline boxes and choose the Apply button
- to see the rotating position. Choose the
- Done command button when you finish the
- rotating operation.
-
-
- █ 3D Move
-
- The View | 3D Move command lets you
- move the position of a 3D plot object in
- true three dimensional space. When you
- have selected a 3D object and chosen this
- command, the plot view is changed to the
- 3D move mode.
-
-
- █ 3D Resize
-
- The View | 3D Resize command lets you
- resize the dimension of a 3D plot object
- in true three dimensional space. When you
- have selected a 3D object and chosen this
- command, the plot view is changed to the
- 3D resize mode.
-
-
- █ ReDraw
-
- The View | Redraw command lets you
- redraw the plot view screen immediately.
- The keyboard shortcut for this command
- is <F7>.
