  5. on Line Interactive Spectra Examination with LISE

  7. LISE is a relatively complete collection of routins to
  8. display, modify, and fit one dimensional spectra
  9. (like Auger-spectra, Moessbauer-spectra, Energy-spectra,...)
  10. There is virtually no limit on the size of the spectra.
  11. LISE is intended to work on commandline oriented
  12. multitasking machines, such as UNIX Workstations
  13. and the AMIGA series of computers.
  14. There is also a Graphical User Interface available for
  15. LISE applications. This GUI is based on my 
  16. Menu Description Language Interpreter MDL.
  17. Spectra are handled as simple files on the Disk.
  18. LISE understands binary and ASCII formats.
  19. You can use a spectra calculator with real formulars.
  20. Output of pictures is possible on Plotters, Epson Printers,
  21. HP Deskjet printers, as Postscript and as IFF.
  22. For Amiga Computers there is also a general MCA program
  23. with on line data display for data aquisitation. This
  24. MCA program has an ARexx Interface and can call macros for
  25. on line analysis of your spectra.
  26. The LISE routines should be used together with a powerfull
  27. command line interpreter such as the korn-shell (or SKShell
  28. on Amiga computers) or the bash. These shells are not part
  29. of the LISE Distribution. For first experiments on Amiga
  30. computers CShell 5.17 will do.
