  2.                    Where to get updates to GNUPLOT
  3.  
  4. Congratulations on getting this version of GNUPLOT! Unfortunately, it
  5. may not be the most recent version ("you never know where this version
  6. has been!"). You can be sure that it IS the most recent version by
  7. checking one of the official distribution sites, guaranteed to be kept
  8. up to date (of course, if you got this file from one of those sites,
  9. you don't need to check!).

  11. To hear automatically about future releases (and other GNUPLOT news),
  12. join the mailing list; see below.

  14. At the time of this writing, the following are the official
  15. distribution sites and transfer instructions. Note that
  16. prep.ai.mit.edu is NOT an official site, and may not be up to date.
  17. Also, comp.sources.misc is usually a month or so behind us.

  22. In general, GNUPLOT 3.0 is available as the file gnuplot3.0.tar.Z.
  23. There are no patches that bring GNUPLOT 2.02 up to 3.0, so you must
  24. obtain the whole new release. Please obtain gnuplot from the site
  25. nearest you.
