  3. Task:       play the game without the cd in drive, but with a
  4.         copy on your harddisk
  5.  
  6. Instuctions:    
  7.         this protection scheme is really easy to crack, because
  8.             it is a microsoft product, so just have a deeper look at
  9.             the source and you will find it.
  10.

  12. How to use:
  13.         step one:
  14.             
  15.             install the game on your local harddisk (i recommend
  16.             the normal installation)
  17.  
  18.             step two:
  19.  
  20.             copy the tc_cc2.exe and thecapitalist98.nfo in your
  21.         cc2 directory and start the crack. if it succeeds
  22.         you'll receive a positive message, if not just mail and 
  23.             i'll fix it.

  25.             step three:

  27.             copy the "data" directory of the cc2-cd to the root directory
  28.         of one of your local harddisks.
  29.  
  30.             step four:

  32.             open the registery and search for the entries that belong
  33.             to the cc2 game. there you'll find  the entry"installed from"
  34.         which must be your cd-drive. now you change this value and
  35.             replace your cd-drive with the harddisk, where cc2\data was 
  36.             copied.

  41. Final Notes:
  42.             this crack does not have many controll procedures, so
  43.             if an error occurs, you might have to guess about the reasons,
  44.             why the crack failed. for example i did not implement a
  45.             version checking, only filesize!
