  2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR FASTBACK PLUS USERS:

  5. This version of Fastback Plus (1.01) has the following improvements over
  6. version 1.00:
  7.  
  8. 1.  Increased estimate and backup speed during partial backups.  You
  9. will note that the time required to perform an estimate, do the actual
  10. backup, and reset archive flags has been greatly reduced.  The
  11. difference in time is likely to be more pronounced on computers with
  12. slower hard disks.
  13.  
  14. 2.  Slightly less memory (about 5k) is required to run the program.
  15.  
  16. 3.  A low probablility of occurance compression/expansion bug has been
  17. corrected.  It is unlikely that you you have encountered this data
  18. dependent problem, because only three people out of roughly 20,000 users
  19. have reported it.   This version of Fastback Plus has a 99% chance of
  20. automatically restoring disks backed up incorrectly with version 1.00.
  21. If the disks cannot be automatically restored, it is likely that we can
  22. restore them manually.

  24. 4.  The amount  of time required to identify that a disk is unformatted
  25. during disk change time has been reduced by 33%.
  26.  
  27. 5.  The feature has been added allowing restoration of high speed floppies
  28. containing error correction to a normal DOS drive path and restore source.
  29. This allows restoring error corrected backups to floppies.
  30.  
  31. 6.  Some incompatibilities with the new PS/2 series computers were
  32. corrected.

  37. The files BACKUP.BAT and RESTORE.BAT on the distribution
  38. disk are examples of using the batch processor in Fastback
  39. Plus.

  41. To do a full backup of your hard disk, just type:
