  22. TOPIC #1  GENERAL FILES SECTION

  24.              Select the [A] option from the Main Menu to go to the G-Files
  25.              section.  Here you will find different kinds of ASCII and ANSI
  26.              files for you to view and download.

  29. TOPIC #2  BBS LISTING (User maintained)

  31.          Select the [B] option from the Main Menu to enter into the
  32.          "BBS LIST."  This area is for syops of other systems to  
  33.          advertise their boards.  It should contain relevant infor-  
  34.          mation such as the bbs name, sysop, phone number, number of
  35.          megs online, maximum baud rate, and bbs software.

  38. TOPIC #3  CHAT WITH THE SYSOP
  39.                                
  40.              Select the [C] option from the Main Menu to enter into the
  41.              "CHAT" mode, by paging the SysOp.  If the SysOp is not
  42.              available, you will be notified.  If he is available, you
  43.              will enter chat mode momentarily.  If the sysop does not
  44.              answer right away wait a few moments before hanging up.  He
  45.              may wish to chat with you, but it may take a minute or so
  46.              before he can get to the computer.

  49. TOPIC #4  DATABASES (User maintained)

  51.          Select the [D] option from the Main Menu to enter the
  52.          DATABASE SECTION.    From the Database Menu you will be able
  53.          to choose between several different databases, add your
  54.          own database or a single entry, list its contents, perform
  55.          newscans and database searches.  Additional help screens
  56.          may be read from the Database Menu.

  60. TOPIC #5  E-MAIL

  62.              Select the [E] option from the Main Menu to enter the
  63.              E-MAIL SECTION.  From the E-Mail Menu you will be able to
  64.              list, view, send, receive or delete E-Mail and "Zippy-Mail".
  65.              The messages you send via e-mail will be private.  Users
  66.              other than the recipient will not be able to read them.
  67.              Remember to check for new e-mail each time you log on, and
  68.              be sure to delete your e-mail once you have finished reading
  69.              it.

  74. TOPIC #6  FILE TRANSFERS (UPLOADS & DOWNLOADS)

  76.              Select the [F] or [T] option from the Main Menu to enter the
  77.              FILE TRANSFER SECTION.  The File Transfer Menu allows you
  78.              to select between file areas, perform newscans, search for      
  79.              files, read ASCII text files online, and upload and download
  80.              files to the bbs.                                        
  81.                 If you are calling with a US Robotics HST modem use
  82.              Y-modem-G or Zmodem for file transfers.  If you are calling
  83.              at 24oo baud, use Bi-modem to send files, receive files, and
  84.              chat simultaneously!                                   
  85.                 Always do a file search to make sure the file you want
  86.              to upload is not already online.  Be sure to upload files 
  87.              into the correct file area, and make sure you leave a good
  88.              description of the file.  If you batch upload and can't
  89.              stay awake long enough to enter the file descriptions after
  90.              the transfer has been completed, make sure you first leave
  91.              [S]ysop Feedback with complete file descriptions.  Don't
  92.              upload files which are more than a couple of months old 
  93.              without the sysop's permission.

  96. TOPIC #7  GOODBYE (SYSTEM LOG-OFF)

  98.          Select the [G] option from the Main Menu to LOG-OFF from
  99.          this system.  This feature will formally end your tele-
  100.          communication session, and allow you to leave a message to
  101.          the sysop or the next user, at your option.  Typing   
  102.          [/OFF] at the Main Menu logs you off the bbs immediately.

  122.           gambling and trivia areas.  You may attempt to answer trivia

  144.               MESSAGE SECTION.    From the Message Menu you will be able
  145.               to select between several different areas of interest,
  146.               post, edit, read, newscan and delete messages.  The messages
  147.               you post in these areas will be public, and available for
  148.               all users to read.           
  149.                    Remember to post messages in their proper area     
  150.               according to topic.  Always read your messages over before
  151.               saving them, and correct any mistakes.  NEVER war with other
  152.               users unless the sysop has set up a special message area for
  153.               this purpose.  Try to post interesting messages and keep the
  154.               message areas rolling.  The message areas are the soul of
  155.               the bbs.

  162.           NEWS.  These are items that the sysop feels are of importance
  163.           to all users.

  200.           current System Statistics on such items as uploads, down-
  201.           loads, number of calls, and so on.

  208.           MESSAGE FOR THE SYSOP.  If you experience difficulties

  210.           be sure to send the sysop feedback about it.

  216.           Select the [U] option from the Main Menu to alter
  217.           your PERSONAL CONFIGURATION file.  You may change your
  218.           display characteristics, terminal emulation, screen colors,
  219.           and message signature.  If you have an IBM compatible  
  220.           computer which can display ANSI, be sure to enable ANSI  
  221.           graphics in your setup to get the most out of this bbs.

  226.           Select the [V] option from the Main Menu to cast your
  227.           vote for (or against) topics of interest.  This function
  228.           will allow you to vote on issues such as changes the   
  229.           sysop is considering making to the bbs, and other matters
  230.           of interest.

  233. TOPIC #23  WHO HAS CALLED LATELY?

  235.           Select the [W] option from the Main Menu to display
  236.           a list of the most recent callers.

  242.           from the present user to another.  This option has been
  243.           disabled for security reasons, except for use by the sysop.

  249.           YOUR CURRENT STATUS.  This will tell you how many times

  259.           NEWSCAN DATE.  This option can be used, for example, to see

  268.           or withdrawls into the TIME BANK.  This feature allows users
  269.           to save unused system time for another day.

  275.           Select the [!] option from the Main Menu to ask the sysop
  276.           to RAISE YOUR ACCESS.  Before asking for more access, ask
  277.           yourself how you can contribute to the bbs, and become a
  278.           better user.
