- Pro2CDC
-
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Pro2CDC will translate a ProDoor CONFINFO file into the new
- CNAMES.@@@ file format used by PCBoard 14.5 betas dated 03-28-90
- or later.
-
- You will be able to supply a full filespec (including path)
- to your CONFINFO file(s). CNAMES.@@@ will be created inside the
- current subdirectory.
-
- Before you run this utility you should delete your CNAMES.@@@
- file and execute PCBSETUP so it creates a new copy. This
- CNAMES.@@@ file should contain your MAIN plus the first 39
- conferences. This is important because Pro2CDC picks up default
- information from your MAIN for information not found inside
- CONFINFO.
-
- You should then execute Pro2CDC while you are in your \PCB\MAIN
- subdirectory.
-
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- When you execute Pro2CDC you will be asked two questions:
-
- ■ "Start reading conferences in CONFINFO at conference number?"
-
- You should normally reply with "40" to this question. This
- will start your CONFINFO conversion with conference #40's
- definitions. You should not start with conference #1 since
- this information was generated by PCBSETUP earlier.
-
- ■ "Start writing conferences in CNAMES.@@@ at conference number?"
-
- If you are converting your first CONFINFO file then you should
- reply with "40" to this question too. This will start your
- CNAMES.@@@ conversion with conference #40.
-
- If you have multiple CONFINFO files (for multiple ProDoor
- setups) you will always answer the first question with "40"
- since the lower conferences will always be duplicated in your
- ProDoor setup. The second question's value (concerning the
- starting conference in CNAMES.@@@) is up to you. If you are
- working on your second CONFINFO file you can start CNAMES.@@@
- with the next conference available after the first conversion.
- Or you may skip a few conferences to allow for future
- additions. If you do skip some conference numbers Pro2CDC
- will automatically fill these values in with NULLs for you.
-

-
- Note to Qmail Sysops:
-
- You will need to maintain copies of CONFINFO on your
- system in order to continue to use the Qmail Door 3.00.
- Please do not delete this file.
-
- I am VERY pleased to see the additions made inside
- PCBoard 14.5 that will help out all door authors.
- We are very hard at work on Qmail Door 4.00 which is
- 100% totally new code written around the new
- enhancements found in PCBoard 14.5. *ALL* of the
- problems associated with the older 3.00 code (memory
- usage, problems with multitaskers, etc) have been
- addressed in this new design. The new code provides you
- with all of the features found in 3.00 with new features
- for beginning users too.
-
- We will announce the new code's availability on our
- support system as well as the echomail networks and on
- Salt Air when it is ready.
-
- As they say on "The Tonight Show"...
