  6.     I thought this thing was protected, but the docs said twice that it
  7. wasn't.  After playing it a while, I was unpleasantly surprised by a doc
  8. check that pops up at the river or when you get into a fight with an Indian
  9. or outlaw.  A simple fix wasn't good enough.  After a short time it would
  10. come up and say "Cheaters never prosper!" and then lock up.  At least I got
  11. to do something more interesting than package this thing.  You'll notice a
  12. short flicker (the screen will blank and then come back on) when you get to
  13. where the protection used to be, but this is much cleaner than having the box
  14. pop up and having to press enter.  Enjoy...  (Note: This is not just an
  15. excuse to stick out another set of BBS ads.  We really did think there was no
  16. protection.  Trust me.)
