- =========================================================================
-
- Hi there folks, this is a beta version of TOTAL WAR 1.9, it is NOT the
- version 1.9 release! This release is an upgrade for TOTAL WAR 1.8 that
- fixes some bugs.
-
- Fixed BUGS:
-
- * This runs properly on faster amigas (with any known processor
- I think... I have tested both a 14 mhz 68000 and a 25 mhz 3000
- that I happen to have... it works perfectly on kickstart 2.0
- and workbench 2.0...)
- The bug was in the color fill of the countries due to the
- increased speed of the program main loop... It has been fixed
- with the WAIT VBL command so everything should be ok from now
- on...
-
- * In prevous versions no country could hold more than 99 armies
- and any more armies placed there would be lost... well they
- are still not displayed but they will be stored somewhere in
- memory! You can have as many armies as you like on any country
- now.
-
- * Another bug was that the game would simply lock on a frozed
- screen if a computer player had only one country and more than
- 29 armies on it... this was a very stupid non-reported bug but
- is has been fixed.
-
-
- New things on this release:
-
- * a workbench Icon... you can play the game from the workbench
- without any troble.
-
-
- The next release:
-
- * HD instalation program for the TOTAL WAR 1.9b version.
-
- * the full 1.9 version that is exactly 1.9b + the instalation
- program...
-
-
- The *NEW* TOTAL WAR 2.0:
-
- * full modem support
-
- * New games with loads of extras.
-
- * NTSC and PAL versions on the same disk.
-
- * re-writen parts of the game for better speed (I am talking
- assembly here, so you can expect things to get pretty faster!)
-
- * 3d views (don't really expect a better gameplay on this one,
- but things will be fairly amazing to the eye... you will be
- able to see the world from any possible perspective on full
- 3d... like battlechess its probaly better to play on 2d but I
- like 3d demos, so it will be fun to write this...)
-
-
- That's all folks... thanks for
- all the support, bug reports and
- clever ideas...
-
