  6. What This Diskette Does
  7. -----------------------
  8. The Video Features Diskette I for OS/2 enables the drivers to:
  9.  - Improve the drawing performance on the display.
  10.  - Provide higher resolutions (up to 1024x768).
  11.  - Provide various color depths (256, 64K, or 16M).
  12.  
  13. The following models are supported:
  14.    - ThinkPad 760C, 760CD, 760L, and 760LD
  15.    - ThinkPad 760E and 760EL*
  16.    - ThinkPad 365X and 365XD

  18.   Notes:
  19.     For 760E system users:
  20.        If your display (LCD) is an SVGA (800x600), please install
  21.        this diskette.

  23.    *For 760EL system users:
  24.        If your machine type is 9547-x4G 9547-x4K or 9547-x4T, please 
  25.        DO NOT install this diskette. Please install "Video Features 
  26.        Diskette II for OS/2" for your system.  (VFTPKOS2)

  134. Installation Guide
  135. ------------------
  136. 1. Turn on the computer and start OS/2.
  137. 2. Set the display device to LCD only.
  138. 3. Insert the ThinkPad Video Features Diskette I for OS/2 into
  139.    the diskette drive.
  140. 4. Open an OS/2 window or a full-screen command prompt.
  141. 5. Type A: at the command prompt and press Enter.
  142. 6. Type INSTALL at the A:Æ> prompt and press Enter:
  143.       A:Æ>INSTALL
  144. 7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  145. 8. After the installation is complete, remove the diskette, shut down
  146.    OS/2, and restart the computer.
