  2.   NOTICE:
  3.      BEFORE MAKING BACKUP DISKETTES OR STARTUP DISKETTE WITH "MICROSOFT
  4.      CREATE SYSTEM DISKS", DISABLE ENHANCED VIDEO/MPEG WITH THINKPAD
  5.      FEATURES PROGRAM.
  6.  
  7.   Product : ThinkPad 760CD with IBM Preloaded Windows 95
  8.   Symptom : Pink Display and system hangs requiring power off/on cycle.
  9.   Cause   : Enhanced Video Driver
  10.   Solution: Disable Enhanced Video Feature before Creating System Disks
  11.  
  12.  Procedure: When the system is turned on,  customer input is required
  13.  to complete the Windows 95 installation.  This includes entering a
  14.  Printer, and the Time Zone for example. The user is then given the
  15.  box "Microsoft Create System Disks" at this point, please do the
  16.  following:

  18.  1. Click "Cancel"
  19.  2. Click "Finish" (Exits the Create System Disks Window)
  20.  3. Follow instructions to complete Windows 95 installation.

  22.  To create the System disks, do the following at the Desktop:
  23.  1. Click on the ThinkPad Icon
  24.  2. Click on the ThinkPad Features Icon
  25.  3. Turn Off the Enhanced Video:
  26.     a. Find the Enhanced Video Icon near the upper right hand corner
  27.        of the ThinkPad Features screen (Hint: placing the mouse pointer
  28.        over an icon will display the name of that icon on the bottom
  29.        of the screen)
  30.     b. Click the Enhanced Video icon and select "disable" then "save"
  31.     c. Restart the system (shut down then restart)

  33. Create the System Disks:
  34.  4. Click on "Start" (Windows 95 desktop screen)
  35.  5. Open the following windows: Programs, Accessories, System Tools,
  36.     Create System Disks
  37.  6. Click "Next" to display the Create Disks options
  38.  7. Follow the instructions on the screen.

  40. After the diskettes are created, Enhanced Video may be reenabled
  41. by using the ThinkPad Features program again.
  42.  
  43. Note: The Create System Disks program is not needed or included in
  44.       purchased versions of Windows 95.
