- Installation of Updated PCMCIA Hard Drive Device Driver
-
- - OS/2 Warp v3.0 ONLY. (Includes OS/2 Warp for Windows,
- OS/2 Warp with WINOS2, OS/2 Warp Connect,
- and OS/2 Warp Connect for Windows)
-
- If PCMCIA support has not been installed on the machine, then do so using the
- Selective Install utility in the System Setup folder. Select the appropriate
- PCMCIA System and PCMCIA Hard Disk for the PCMCIA Option. Shutdown and reboot
- the system. Rename the PCM2ATA.ADD file in the \OS2\BOOT subdirectory to
- PCM2ATA.ORG. Copy the new PCM2ATA.ADD into this subdirectory.
-
- IMPORTANT: Verify that no other copies of PCM2ATA.ADD exist anywhere else on
- the bootable drive (use a DIR PCM2ATA.ADD /S from the root
- directory). If they exist, they must be deleted.
-
- Edit the CONFIG.SYS file to reflect the following changes to the PCM2ATA.ADD
- device driver line:
-
- BASEDEV=PCM2ATA.ADD /EXIRQ:2 /EXIRQ:3 /EXIRQ:4 /EXIRQ:5 /EXIRQ:6 /EXIRQ:7 /EXIRQ:8 /EXIRQ:10 /EXIRQ:12
-
- Shutdown and reboot to activate the changes.
