-
- Summary of Change
- -----------------
- Key: <n.nn> Diskette version (for example, 1.00 means Version 1.00)
- (New) New function or enhancement
- (Fix) Correction to existing function
- (Restriction) Remaining restriction
-
- <2.22>
- - (Fix) Connectivity to some modems that violate V.34
- specifications has improved.
-
- - (Fix) The audio problem of not being able to play some
- wave files when using the 28800 modem is fixed in
- Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.
-
- - (New) An uninstall function has been added along with
- improvements to the installation.
-
- - (New) For a DOS/Windows 3.1 environment, the Mwave DOS and Windows
- installations and directories have been combined. Therefore,
- support for "DOS only system" is dropped.
-
- - (New) An Mwave-written application "Mwave Quick Tests" has been
- included, which helps you isolate problems quickly.
-
- - (Fix) The board driver has been modified to
- fix a general protection fault (GPF) problem
- during suspend mode.
-
- - (Fix) The problem of some wave files of a particular frequency
- not playing has been fixed.
-
- - (Fix) Some Class 1 fax fixes have been included.
-
-
- - (Restriction)
- The modem name in Windows 95 has changed slightly to
- "ThinkPad 28.8 Data Fax VOD Modem." This can cause
- the Windows 95 dialer program or other Windows 95 applications
- to not recognize the modem. Correct this by going
- to the Dialing properties of the application and
- changing the modem name to the new Mwave modem name.
-
- - (Restriction)
- The shutdown and "Exit to DOS" option from the
- Start button in Windows 95 will fail if Mwave release 2.22
- is installed over the previous preload. The fix for
- this is to locate the "Exit to DOS" pif file in the
- Windows directory and edit the file to change
- references to the MWD directory to MWW and change the
- Mwave board driver to MWD50430.EXE.
-
- - (Restriction)
- Some games may require the SET BLASTER statement to
- include a T3 parameter to get sound.
-
- - (Restriction)
- The "Exit to DOS Mode" used in the preload
- will not allow the Mwave modem to work
- because the COM port is not in the BIOS data area.
- Therefore, some applications using Mwave may not work.
-
- - (Restriction)
- The New Zealand World Trade tables do not recognize a
- dial tone. A patch is available if needed.
-
