  1. OS/2 WARP "SLEEP MODE" SUPPORT FOR THE IBM THINKPAD WITH TEAC-40E CD-ROM DRIVES

  4. This release provides "sleep mode" support for the TEAC-40E CD-ROM drive found
  5. on the IBM ThinkPad 755, 760, and 365 families.   "Sleep Mode" support exploits
  6. the power management capabilities of the TEAC CD-ROM drive.

  8. This README file is formatted for viewing on your screen.  You can:

  10. -  Use the Table of Contents to help you locate specific topics.
  11. -  Use the Find option in the Edit menu of the OS/2 System Editor to help
  12.    you locate specific information.

  49. 1) Open a OS2 window or full screen

  51. 2) Type "cd c:\os2\boot" and press Enter.
  52.    (where c: is the OS/2 boot drive)
  53.  
  54. 3) Type "rename os2cdrom.dmd os2cdrom.ret" and press Enter.
  55.  
  56. 4) Type "copy a:\os2cdrom.dmd" and press Enter.
  57.    (where a: is the drive where the new file resides)
  58.  
  59. 5) Shutdown the system and restart for changes to take affect.

  64. OS/2 Sleep Mode Support is compatible with OS/2 Warp Version 3.  This support 
  65. is not required for OS/2 Warp 4.
