  8. The AudioDrive Features Diskette enables and updates the audio function
  9. in the ThinkPad computer.

  32.  - (Fix)  A new installation program, ESINST.CMD, is added.
  33.     ESINST.CMD deletes previously installed AudioDrive device driver
  34.     and launches MINSTALL.EXE.  The user can no longer mistakenly
  35.     install the AudioDrive device driver without
  36.     uninstalling the previously installed driver.

  38.  - (Fix)  With version 1.00, in some computer models, there was
  39.     a problem when a user shuts down OS/2 Warp without
  40.     first closing the WIN-OS/2 session.
  41.     OS/2 Warp shut down successfully, but when OS/2 Warp
  42.     was booted the next time, the WIN-OS/2 opening sound repeated
  43.     erroneously and did not stop until the WIN-OS/2
  44.     session was closed.  This problem is now fixed.

  46. Installation Guide
  47. ------------------

  49. Notes:
  50.     - The AudioDrive support software for OS/2 is supplied in
  51.       the AudioDrive Features Diskette or in the hard disk drive of
  52.       your computer.
  53.  
  54.     - If the AudioDrive Features Diskette was not supplied with
  55.       your computer, the support software is contained in the hard
  56.       disk drive.
  57.       Create the AudioDrive Features Diskette using the diskette
  58.       backup program (Diskette Factory), which is preinstalled in
  59.       your computer.
  60.  
  61.     - Before installing the driver diskette, make sure that
  62.       the OS/2 Warp Multimedia Support program (MMPM/2) is installed
  63.       in your hard disk drive.
  64.  
  65.  Have the AudioDrive Features Diskette ready; then install the
  66.  AudioDrive support software as follows:

  68.  1. Turn on the computer and start OS/2.
  69.  
  70.  2. Open the OS/2 full-screen command prompt.
  71.  
  72.  3. Insert the AudioDrive Features Diskette for OS/2 into the
  73.     diskette drive.
  74.  
  75.  4. Type A:ESINST at the command prompt; then press Enter.
  76.     Necessary backups are created.
  77.  
  78.  5. Select AudioDrive ES1688 from the list.
  79.     Make sure the source drive is A:.
  80.     If you have WIN-OS/2 installed on your computer, select
  81.     ES1688 WINOS2/Windows Audio.

  83.  6. Click on Install; then follow the instructions on the screen.

  85.  7. When you have completed the installation, shut down OS/2;
  86.     then restart the computer.
