- Welcome to OnForm the No. 1 invoice/order printing program for the Amiga.

- OnForm has been released as Licenceware in an attempt to recover some of the
- expenses incurred whilst developing the program. This program is copyright
- material, please do not encourage piracy by supplying copies of OnForm to
- other people.

- This program has been designed to be user friendly and easy to use, please
- read the documentation carefully. It is recommended to print out this
- document for easier reference.

- Setting Up OnForm
- -----------------

- KEY:
-
- LMB - Left-Mouse-Button.
- RMB - Right-Mouse-Button.
- RET - Return Key.
- ESC - Escape Key.

- Order Form Preferences:
- -----------------------
-
-
- If this is the first time OnForm has been run you will be informed that the
- order form preferences file cannot be found, you are then requested to type
- in your name and address, under the customer heading.

- Customer Address - When the cursor appears type in your name then press RET.
- Up to 30 characters per line are permitted. When the return key is pressed
- the cursor moves to the next line. Type in your address on the next 4 lines
- pressing RET at the end of each line.

- Phone No. - Once the address is complete you will be asked to enter your
- phone number. Up to 20 characters are permitted. Press RET.

- Card No. - Enter your credit card number as a 16 digit number. RET. This will
- be displayed/printed as: 1234/1234/1234/1234 (With your numbers, not 1234!).
- If your card number has fewer than 16 digits enter a spaces in the place of
- the missing digits: 123 123 123 123 .

- Expires. - Enter your credit card's expiry date as a 4 digit number
- representing MMYY ie 1093 displayed/printed as 10/93 (the tenth month of the
- year 1993). RET.

- Once the expiry date has been entered OnForm will switch to the Items screen
- and ask you to enter the VAT rate. If you wish you may set this to 0 by
- pressing return. Otherwise a value of 1 to 35 may be entered.

- You are now returned to the details screen and are requested to set the
- following under the preferences heading:

- Print Quality - LMB toggles between Draft & NLQ (Near Letter Quality). RET.
- This is down to personal preference. NOTE: It should be possible to alter the
- printer font when NLQ is being used, please consult your printer manual.

- No. Of Copies - LMB toggles between 1 & 2. you are using cut-sheet paper and
- you wish to print two copies, No. Of Copies should be set to 1 and print
- should be selected twice.

- Page Length - LMB enter the number of lines your printer can print on each
- line. RET. If this is set correctly, the paper will be feed to the beginning
- of the next page after a form has been printed.

- You should also set the Payment Method to the one you use most often. LMB
- toggles between Access/Visa & Cheque/PO.
-

- When all order form preferences are as required, select Prefs from the
- control-panel with the RMB to save the current setting to disk.

- Invoice Form Preferences:
- -------------------------

- The Invoice preferences file will now have to be created.
-
-
- Company Address - After the Order preferences have been saved, you are
- prompted to enter the company address. If you are using OnForm for business
- purposes, enter your company name and address, otherwise enter your own
- address. Company address is entered in exactly the same manner as customer
- address above.

- Tel No. - Type in either your company or own telephone number. See Phone No.
- above.

- Fax No. - As Tel No.
-

- Vat No. - If your company is VAT registered enter your registration number
- as a 9 digit number.

- Again you are sent to the Items screen and requested to enter the VAT rate.
- You may of course set this to 0. When the VAT rate has been set you return
- to the Details screen, where you may make any alterations under the
- preferences heading and set the header feature:

- Header - LMB cycles between Off & Std (Standard). If you are using headed
- paper this should be set to Off, if plain paper is used set to Std.

- If you are happy with the current settings select Prefs with the RMB from
- the control-panel to save the Invoice preferences.

- Address Label Preferences:
- --------------------------

- Left Margin - This sets the left margin of the printer for printing address
- labels. LMB set this to a value between 1 & 49. RET.
-

- Label Pitch - Sets the number of lines to the next address label. LMB enter a
- value between 1 & 10. RET. eg. a label pitch of 10 means there are 10 lines
- between the first line of the first address to the first line of the second
- address.

- Select 'Lab Prefs' with the RMB to save the address label preferences. This
- file will be loaded every time OnForm is run.

- This completes the procedure for setting up OnForm preferences.
