  12. The original "jak_o_shadows.au" file was a "raw"-type Sun Microsystems
  13. sound file (without identifying header information), also known as 
  14. U-law format.  Many computers cannot understand ".au" files without 
  15. the optional identification header.

  17. So, I've created a replacement "jak_o_shadows.au" file _with_ that header
  18. information, and renamed the original as "jak_o_shadows.ul".  Therefore,
  19. your software probably won't choke on the (new) .au rendition, even if it 
  20. does on the "raw U-law" (.ul) original.

  22. At the same time, I generated three new variant versions that some may
  23. find more accessible:

  25. jak_o_shadows.aiff    is an Apple/Silicon Graphics AIFF file.
  26. jak_o_shadows.voc     is a Creative Labs SoundBlaster VOC file.
  27. jak_o_shadows.wav     is a Microsoft Windows 3.0 RIFF (.WAV) file.

  32. All files are 8-bit sampled at 8000 Hz, and monaural.
