  3. Welcome to Vivid Interactive and MASK!.  Please note the following
  4. instructions and guidelines for installing and using MASK!.
  5.

  8. INSTALLATION
  9. ------------

  11. This program uses Apple's Quicktime for Windows to play back the movies you
  12. will see.  A runtime copy is included on MASK! disk.  
  13.  
  14.  
  15. You may begin installation of MASK! in one of two ways:
  16.  
  17. 1 -- From within Windows File Manager - simply double click on the INSTALL.EXE
  18.      file, directly from the CD directory.
  19.  
  20. 2 -- From Windows Program Manager - Select Run from the File menu and type 
  21.      the full path to the PC directory on the CD-ROM drive and INSTALL.EXE
  22.      i.e.  G:\PC\INSTALL.EXE
  23.

  25. The installation procedure will not copy ANY files to your hard drive but
  26. will create a Program Group and Icons within the Group to facilitate play.
  27. Once your new icons are created you can click on the MASK! icon to begin play.
  28. Allow 15-30 seconds for THE PROGRAM to load(this depends on the speed of 
  29. your hardware).  Once in THE PROGRAM, allow 2-7 seconds to respond to your 
  30. selections.  To exit MASK at any time press Alt-F4 or click on the
  31. Stop button (below the Play button, in the Main interface),
  32. this should stop movie play and return you to Windows.

  34. System Requirements and Recommendations

  37.   IBM 80386 or compatible - 80486 will perform better

  39.   4mb of RAM free - with 8 MB recommended

  41.   CD-ROM drive & Sound card

  43.   Graphics Support for 256 colors(8-bit or 16-bit)

  45.   Microsoft Windows 3.1 and above with Mouse

  48. If you have a screen saver active, disable it prior to starting the program.  
  49. If the screen saver becomes active during the program you may lose your
  50. cursor.
  51.  
  52. Some high resolution video cards may require updated drivers in order to
  53. work properly with QuickTime for Windows. If you experience problems
  54. when starting or running the Program, contact your Video Card manufacturer
  55. to inquire about updated software for their card.
