Transcription: In this demonstration, we have a plastic cube that is filled with a clear viscous liquid. There are iron filings suspended in that liquid. Now I'm going to drop a magnet in the hollow tube at the center of the cube. Watch the iron filings. Notice that the iron filings are being pulled to the poles of the magnet. Now that ought to make sense. After all, iron is attracted to magnets. But notice the pattern they're forming. Does that look familiar at all?
