Transcription: Now remember, on a water molecule the hydrogens have a slight positive charge and the oxygens have a slight negative charge. In your experiment you placed a negatively charged comb near a stream of water. When you did that, that caused the water molecules to rotate so that the positively charged hydrogen atoms got closer to the comb and the negatively charged oxygen atoms got farther away from the comb. Once the water molecules were oriented that way, the positive charges were attracted to the comb and you saw the stream of water bend towards the comb.
