  4. This utility was written to help overcome the
  5. problems of London's new telephone dialing codes.
  6.  
  7. It is simple to use in that you type the required
  8. number (with or without 01) into the top box and the
  9. application responds with the new telephone number.
  10.  
  11. It will respond with 'Invalid' if the number is not
  12. a valid London telephone number.
  13.  
  14. It will respond with 'Mercury' if it is a Mercury
  15. telephone number. These numbers have predominantly
  16. 071 codes with some 081 codes. In case of difficulty
  17. with these numbers, please contact Mercury Helpline
  18. on 021 625 3010.

  20. Lastly, if all else fails call the British Telecom
  21. Helpline free on 0800 800 873 between 9am and 7pm,
  22. seven days a week.
