- MicroTAP(tm)
-
-
- MicroTAP is the professional version of comTAP with advanced
- capabilities added for "power-users." MicroTAP is not available
- as shareware. Here are some of the additional features you get
- when you order MicroTAP.
-
-
- o ASCII Log File Exportation.
- Export formatted ASCII files of captured data for reports, logs
- and documentation. Set the timestamp resolution, data format and
- blank field markers.
-
- o Character Translation Editor.
- Redefine character display strings (including display attributes)
- to create new character translation sets using the powerful
- integrated translation editor.
-
- o Create New Translation Sets.
- New translation sets created with the integrated translation
- editor can be saved and loaded as custom character sets.
-
- o Signal Event Recording.
- Signal event changes are captured in real-time with microsecond
- timestamps, even in the absence of data transmissions. Just as
- with data translations, the signal event translations in all
- character sets are user-alterable (both attributes and content).
- Signal event recording can be disabled to make data collection
- more efficient, if necessary.
-
- o Signal Trace Displays.
- Signal voltage levels are displayed as a function of time
- (similar to an oscilloscope). You can measure signal event
- duration and compare signal event timing against concurrent data
- views for precise resolution of data and signal event
- dependencies.
-
- o Signal Pattern Searching.
- You can search for any pattern of signal levels, including "don't
- cares."
-
- o Signal Pattern Triggering.
- MicroTAP can control the logging process via a user specified
- signal trigger pattern.
-
- o Dual Data Trigger Strings.
- Two 24-byte trigger strings can be set for either input stream to
- control disk logging.
-
- o Data Trigger Logic.
- Each data trigger string can be set to either input stream and
- programmed to fire on "AND" or "OR" logic
-
- o Wild Card Trigger Bytes.
- Optional wild card bytes in the trigger strings allow detection
- of protocol headers with variable content fields.
-
- o Configuration Kernel File Management.
- Save application specific operating parameters into configuration
- files for instant context switching.
