- I've been trying to avoid "space art" as a subject, just 'cause everybody else has done it
- to death. So you'll notice my designs are a bit different, being based on Japanese and
- American toys from the '60's.
-
- The artwork I'm submitting was created with Real 3D, version 3.3, which I've been using
- for about four years. It's been said that R3D is one of the hardest packages to learn,
- though it offers better output quality than Lightwave or 3D Studio. The Amiga version
- has a great manual so, if you take it slow, you'll get there in a few months. And the trip
- can be a lot of fun as well. I'm still enjoying it, though I have worked with Softimage on
- the SGI and it's much easier to set-up lights and make changes. (sigh!)
-
- Touch-ups and general cheating was done with Photoshop 2.5 for Macintosh, Photoge-
- nics 2, and Imagemaster RT on the Amiga 3000.
