- Short docs for Steal Em All 1.50
- --------------------------------
-
- Steal Em All (SEA) is a module ripper (you should know what that is).
- SEA is full PD... anyway, all kind of contributions will be received gladly.
-
- How can I use it? (for lamers)
- ------------------------------
-
- Well... when you run SEA, it asks you for a filename. There you should enter
- the name of the file, that you want to search for mods. After this, the program
- asks you, whether you want to use 'Lame' or 'Advanced' method for recognizing
- the mods. The lame method works much faster than the other one. The advanced
- method works slower, but is more efficient because it will also find the mods
- without the 'M.K.'-string. The advanced method may give false alerts more
- usually than the lame one, but you can (nearly every time) recognize a module
- by its name. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, I suggest you to
- try the lame method before the advanced one.
-
- OK, after you have chosen the method, SEA starts scanning the file for moddys.
- If any has been found, its name is shown on the screen. If you want to save
- dis one, write a savefilename. If you want to skip over dis one, just slam the
- enter... Mod-names keep popping up, until there's no more in the file...
-
- That's about it... just some stupid facts you never would like to know:
-
- o Due to the slowness of SEA, you should do all your rippings on hard disk
- o SEA will _not_ work on the old 15-sample modules (in future versions maybe)
- o SEA will recognize StarTrekker-MODs, but will not be able to save them
-
- Oh, and spread dis one in its original ZIP, thanx!
