-
-
- What is in the PASSTATE package?
-
-
- The package should contain the following files:
-
- CATALOG .TXT - A list of current ZittWare products.
- DEFAULT .P16 - The startup defaults of my PAS16 using 1.45 drivers.
- FILE_ID .DIZ - A short, simple discription of PASSTATE.
- GENERAL .P16 - My general setting file.
- PASSTATE.DOC - This document.
- PASSTATE.EXE - The actual heart of the PASSTATE program package.
- REGISTER.FRM - The registration form for PASSTATE.
-
-
- How do I use PASSTATE?
-
-
- The program is run by the simply typing PASSTATE at the OS prompt.
- PASSTATE can be run in a combination of ways. The command-line options
- are shown below:
-
- PASSTATE [-R|-S] [filename]
-
- First, there is a FULL interactive mode by simply running the program
- WITHOUT any arguments. You will then be prompted on whether to Restore,
- Save, or Abort. Enter either a R or S or you will abort the program.
- Next, you will be asked for the filename you wish to do the operation.
- Type in the filename and press Enter. You may include PATH designations.
-
- If you are Restoring a file, the program checks to see if the file
- exists as you typed it. If it does not find the setting file, it will
- abort with an error message. Otherwise, the program will ask you to
- confirm the restore operation.
-
- If you are Saving a setting file, PASSTATE will ask you to confirm
- the save operation. If you confirm, PASSTATE will then check to see if
- a file with the same name exists. If it determines that that file
- already exists, PASSTATE will ask you to verify replacement of the old
- file.
-
- You can force a partial interactive by specifying a -R or -S, as
- the first argument, to restore or save respectively. You will then be
- prompted for a filename.
-
- You can take it one step further and make the next argument a file-
- name such as PROAUDIO/DEFAULT.P16. Then the program will only ask you to
- verify.
-
- It should now be noted that PASSTATE will cease to function as of
- May 1, 1994. The only way to avoid this problem will be to register your
- copy of PASSTATE. Why have I done this? See "Miscellaneous Information"
- below.

- please contact me for a replacement and ask the SYSOP of the site or BBS
- to remove the package. Please note that the SYSOP will have little choice
