  45.         This CD contains Patch Files for the Game Need For Speed III.

  63.

  65. 3.1     Installation from Need For Speed III Patch
  66.  
  67.         After installation of Need For Speed III it starts in glide 
  68.         mode. If you want to start the game in Direct3D it's necessary 
  69.         to change the games registry entries.
  70.  
  71.         There are two files that change the entries automaticly. 
  72.  
  73.         a) NFS3D3DPATCH.REG changes the games registry entries.
  74.            Need For Speed III starts in Direct3D mode. Now you have 
  75.            ELSA Revelator support.
  76.         b) NFS3GLIDEPATCH.REG changes it back, the way that
  77.            Need For Speed III starts in glide mode again.

  79.         Double click the file or right click it and select "Merge" from
  80.         the popup menu to start. Confirm the next dialog "Are you sure 
  81.         you want to add the information in ... to the registry?" with 
  82.         its "Yes"-button. 
  83.         Now the changes are made. This is displayed in a new window.
  84.         After clicking the "OK" button Need For Speed III will start in
  85.         the required graphics mode.
