  7. To aid in the administration of DOS based PC files.

  9. PLEASE:
  10.  
  11. READ THE DOCUMENTATION TO EACH UTILITY BEFORE YOU USE IT.  SOME OF THE
  12. PROGRAMS IN THIS PACKAGE CAN WIPE OUT AN ENTIRE DIRECTORY IF THEY ARE
  13. NOT USED CORRECTLY.

  16. Files in Package:
  17.  
  18. D       .EXE            Flat File Lister.  Shows the directory in 5 columns.
  19.                         All files are listed regardless of attribute.
  20.  
  21. DCDEL   .EXE            Delete any file regardless of attribute (can prompt).
  22.                         Essentially works the same as DEL in DOS except for
  23.                         the attribute override function.  READ THE DOCS!
  24.  
  25. DCDMAK  .EXE            Makes a filename sorted sequential DOS text file
  26.                         called DCDIR.LST in the active directory.
  27.                         
  28. DCF     .EXE            File lister - can sort by Name, Extension or Size.
  29.                         The program also shows any attached attributes.
  30.                         
  31. DCFILDAT.EXE            Compares two directories and can Copy, Delete, or
  32.                         run a batch file if file dates differ from the
  33.                         master directory. PLEASE READ THE DCFILDAT.DOC FILE
  34.                         FIRST!
  35.                         
  36. DCMAP   .EXE            Be CAREFUL with this one!.  The first time it is run,
  37.                         it maps all files in a directory and assumes that they
  38.                         are the valid files and saves the names.  If a file
  39.                         with a new name shows up, it will be deleted regardless
  40.                         of attributes.  Use this on junk/working file
  41.                         directories.  PLEASE READ THE DCMAP.DOC file before
  42.                         you ever use this program!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
  43.                         
  44. DCSA    .EXE            Strips all file attributes from the file spec used.
  45.                         READ THE DOCS!
  46.  
  47. DCUPDAY .EXE            Runs a batch file entitled "UPDAY.BAT" once a day.
  48.                         Once DCUPDAY has been run, it saves the current date
  49.                         to a text file & then checks that file each time it
  50.                         is run.
  51.                         
  52. DCDEL, DCMAP, DCFILDAT, DCMAP and DCSA should be used with caution.  I just
  53. want you to know what they do before you ever run them.  I STRONGLY URGE A
  54. NEW USER TO RUN THESE PROGRAMS UNDER TEST CONDITIONS AWAY FROM THEIR OTHER
  55. PROGRAMS BEFORE THEY ATTEMPT TO ADOPT THEM FOR REGULAR USE.

  57. This package is a little different from some utility packages that are on the
  58. market today.  If you only like one or two programs, the individual programs
  59. can be registered for $5 per concurrently used copy.  The bargain (in my
  60. eyes) is that the whole package is only $20.  It is up to you whether or not
  61. you want the entire package or only specific files.  If this package, or one
  62. of the utilities aids you, you should register your copy.  For example, say you
  63. want DCMAP & DCUPDAY, then you need only send $10.  But please, if you use this
  64. software, register it.
