- This document describes and identifies the files shipped with
- ExpressIT! DOS & Windows.

- in different ZIP files. This document explains which files are in
- which ZIP file.
-
- ExpressIT! DOS Version (EXPDOS.ZIP):

- is contained in the file EXSPEL.ZIP.
-

-
- NEWMAIL.COM - TSR that can be loaded to poll for new mail.
- (Used with NetWare Global Messaging)
-
-
- ExpressIT! Windows Version (EXPWIN.ZIP):
- ========================================
-
- EXPWINM.EXE - Executable Program for ExpressIT! Windows Version.
-
- EXPWINM.HLP - Help file for ExpressIT! Windows Version.
-
- WAVPLAY.EXE - Utility that plays Microsoft Windows WAV format
- sound files.
-
-
- Standard ExpressIT! Utility Programs (EXPDOS.ZIP & EXPWIN.ZIP):
- ===============================================================
-
- FAKEMHS.EXE - Utility to create the standard MHS directory
- structure, allowing ExpressIT! to run without
- MHS installed.
-
- EXINSTAL.EXE - Program to initialize the 30-day "counter" for
- the ExpressIT! 30-day trial version.
-
- REGEX.EXE - Utility to define ExpressIT!'s MHS Application
- code, POSTMAST, to MHS. (Only necessary if you
- will be manually defining your users to MHS via
- the MHS Directory Manager.)
-
- EXSETUP.EXE - Utility to automatically define all NetWare users
- to the MHS Directory Manager. EXSETUP should be
- run after adding/deleting any users to/from the
- NetWare bindery.
-
- EXNAMES.EXE - Utility that can be used to manually add users
- to ExpressIT!
-
- EXNICNAM.EXE - Utility used to create "public nicknames", or
- address book entries accessible from the public
- address book.
-
- EGAFIX.COM - ExpressIT! will pop-up over EGA and VGA graphics
- modes. However, on EGA equipped systems, upon
- returning to your application, the screen colors
- may be completely changed. In the case of Lotus
- 1-2-3, Release 3.x, the color may change from
- white on a black background to black on an orange
- or brown background. EGAFIX should be added to
- the workstation AUTOEXEC.BAT file to correct this
- problem (a limitation of the EGA BIOS).
-
- EXCLEAN.EXE - EXCLEAN is a utility for the NetWare environment
- that is used to clean up stray temporary files,
- and reclaim disk space used by mailboxes which is
- no longer in use. In most environments, it is
- recommended that EXCLEAN be run once a month.
-
- EXMHSNAM.EXE - For NetWare user names longer than 8 characters,
- EXSETUP will prompt for an 8 character or less MHS
- user name to be used for the NetWare user. The
- EXMHSNAM utility is the only available utility to
- change this mapping at a later date. Execute
- EXMHSNAM for a description of the command syntax.
-
- EXULIST.EXE - ExpressIT! DOS' user directory window has a limit
- to the number of user names that can be displayed.
- If more than 500 users are defined, EXULIST must
- be run after deleting/adding any users to create
- a disk based list that allows ExpressIT! to display
- directories of up to 20,000 names.
-
- MAILRITE.EXE - In the Novell NetWare environment, this utility
- ensures that all users have NetWare mailboxes, and
- trustee rights to allow them to deleteand read files
- from their own mailbox.
-
- 8514FIX.COM - The PS/2 BIOS incorrectly identifies the 8514/A
- adapter/monitor combination as a VGA monochrome
- monitor. Reading this information, ExpressIT!
- will format the display as monochrome. On
- workstations equipped with this combination,
- the program 8514FIX.COM should be added to the
- workstation AUTOEXEC.BAT file. 8514FIX.COM is
- not a memory-resident program.
-
-
- ExpressIT! Spelling Dictionary (EXSPEL.ZIP):
- ============================================
-
- EXSPELL.DIC - This is the dictionary file that ExpressIT! uses
- for spell checking.
-
-
- ExpressIT! MHS Directory Assistant (EXDA.ZIP):
- ==============================================
-
- These files provide directory synchronization between ExpressIT!
- MHS sites.
-
-
- MHSNotify! (MHSNFY.ZIP):
- ========================
-
- MHSNotify! is a TSR that loads on the MHS server to notify users
- of inbound MHS e-mail with a NetWare message broadcast.
-
-
- CastAway! (CASTAW.ZIP):
- =======================
-
- CastAway! is a NetWare broadcast message interceptor that helps
- provide ExpressIT! with new mail notification.
