  8. Registered users of Space Hound are allowed to update their
  9. enhanced version of the program by downloading the latest edition.
  10. If you are not (yet) a registered users of Space Hound, you do not
  11. need to read furthur in this document.

  13. This version of the program relies on a different set of file viewers than
  14. pervious editions.  When Space Hound Pro was installed on your hard disk
  15. using the installation diskettes, the following set of files was placed
  16. within the application's directory.

  51. These files will need to be replaced before you can use several of the
  52. functions of Space Hound Pro.
  53.  
  54. This replacement is being done to guarantee continued support and improvements.
  55. We realize that this is an inconvience but it was necessary to avoid
  56. some conflicts.

  58. There are two ways to obtain the replacement file viewer components.
  59.  
  60. One way is to contact Fineware and we will be happy to send you a set of
  61. diskettes which contain the latest version of Space Hound Pro (including
  62. the replacement viewers). There is a small $5 shipping/handling charge
  63. for this however.  Note: You MUST be in our database as a registered user
  64. to obtain the latest copy of the program via this method.

  66. The easiest way to obtain the file viewers is to download them from one
  67. of the commercial services such as CompuServe or America Online.  The file
  68. that you need is called PEEPER.ZIP.  The suggested forum to use on
  69. CompuServe is the WINUTIL forum.  Peeper is more than just the viewer files,
  70. it is a full blown shareware app which you may find quite usefull in it's
  71. own right.  In addition, we will be using PEEPER as the vehicle for distributing
  72. fulture upgrades to Space Hound Pro registered users.  At this time, Fineware
  73. intends to withhold the viewers from the downloadable version of Space Hound
  74. in order to keep the file size of the downloadable file to a minimum and to
  75. encourage non-registered users to upgrade to Space Hound Pro.

  77. Installation:  After you obtain PEEPER.ZIP, UnZip it into the Space Hound
  78. directory.  You should then delete all of the DV*.DLL files.  Don't forget
  79. to delete DFCTL.DLL also.
